I’m Genevieve Curtis, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor dedicated to helping individuals, children, and families navigate life’s most challenging moments. With my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Irvine, I bring both professional expertise and genuine compassion to every session.
What sets me apart is my belief that you are the expert on your own life. My role isn’t to tell you what to do or who to be—it’s to walk alongside you as you discover your own inner strength, resilience, and capacity for healing.

I’ve witnessed the incredible transformation that happens when people feel truly seen, heard, and understood. My approach is built on three core principles:
Strength-Based Care
I believe every person possesses inherent strengths and wisdom. Rather than focusing solely on problems or symptoms, we’ll work together to identify and build upon the resources you already have within you.
Trauma-Informed Practice
Understanding that trauma can affect anyone, I create a safe, predictable environment where you maintain control over your healing journey. Safety—both physical and emotional—is always our starting point.
Collaborative Partnership
You are the expert on your own experience. I bring clinical knowledge and evidence-based techniques, but you bring the most important element: your unique story, goals, and vision for your life.

Outside of my practice, I’m passionate about animal rescue—my husband and I foster dogs, which has taught me so much about patience, resilience, and the healing power of unconditional love. I’m also an avid baker (there’s something therapeutic about creating something nourishing from scratch) and love to travel, as I believe experiencing different cultures and perspectives makes me a more well-rounded therapist.
These experiences remind me that healing happens not just in therapy offices, but in everyday moments of connection, creativity, and compassion. I bring this whole-life perspective to my work with clients.

We’ll spend time getting to know each other. I’ll learn about what brought you to therapy, your goals, and what you hope to achieve. You’ll get a feel for my approach and we’ll discuss how we might work together.
Every session is tailored to your unique needs and goals. Some days we might focus on practical coping strategies, other times we’ll explore deeper patterns or process difficult emotions. You’ll always be in control of the pace and direction.
I chose to become a therapist because I believe deeply in the human capacity for healing and growth. I’ve seen firsthand how the right support at the right time can transform lives. There’s profound honor in being trusted with someone’s story, struggles, and hopes.
Every person who walks into my office is courageously choosing to invest in themselves and their wellbeing. That courage inspires me every single day and reminds me why this work is not just my profession, it’s my calling.
Taking the first step toward therapy requires courage, and I want to honor that courage. Whether you’re dealing with a specific challenge or simply feeling stuck and ready for change, I’m here to support you.
I’m currently accepting new clients for both in-person and telehealth sessions throughout Texas. I work with individuals, children, teens, and families.
Let’s talk about how I can support your journey toward healing, growth, and the life you want to live.
